Cytec FO Series of Switching Systems
The FO Series PAssive Fiber Optics Switching Systems are computer controlled chassis that are designed to switch standard fiber optic wavelengths of 850 nm, 1310 nm and 1550 nm. Multinode 62.5/125 um switches are available for 850 nm and 1310 nm wavelengths, while single mode 9/125 um switches are available for 1310 nm and 1550nm. Passive, bidirectional, moving fiber optic switches are used that show insertion losses as low as 0.10db for multi-mode and 0.25db for single-mode switches.
There are three configurations available:
- Individual Switches
- Nx1 multiplexers
- NxM non-blocking (but not full fan-out) matrices
Control options include:
- RS232
- IEEE488
- TCP/IP Ethernet LAN
Features Include:
- Passive Switch Modules available as 1x2, dual 1x2 and dual 1x2 nonblocking
- 8, 16 or 32 individual switch points
- Singlemode has 0.25 dB insertion loss
- Multimode has 0.10 dB insertion loss
- LED Display showing switchpoint status
- Computer Control from IEEE488 BUS (GPIB or HPIB), RS232 Serial Port, RS422 Serial Port, 16 bit TTL I/O or LAN Interface
