DX Series - Solid State Digital Matrix Switching Systems

Cytec"s DX Series Switching Systems are based on solid state switch fabric. All systems are non-blocking (any input to any output) and full fan-out (any input to any or all outputs)

The DX/256x256 systems are designed to switch TTL, CMOS, LVTTL, IRIG, RS232 and RS422 up to 80 Mbps NRZ. Input and output buffers are used to convert to RS422 and/or RS232 signal levels as needed.

The DXM/64x64 and DXM/128x128 are modular systems capable of switching data rates to 3.2 Gbps NRZ. They are intended to switch RS422, ECL, PECL, LVDS, CML and virtually any type of digital data stream. Configurations as large as 128x128 Clock and Data systems can be easily configured.

The DX/64x64 is an earlier version of the DXM and offers systems up to 64x64 with SMA connectors for ECL, PECL, LVDS or RS422.

These Chassis provide a non-blocking, full fan-out matrix in any configuration from 64x64 to 256x256. The standard chassis switches differential RS422 up to 20 Mbps or single ended TTL data up to 40 Mbps. Custom buffer modules allow for single ended 75 ohm TTL signals up to 80 Mbps. Systems may be configured as dual 128x128 for Clock and Data signals. D78 connectors are standard and may be taken out to patch panels for almost any other connector such as BNC, Twinax, Triax or other D types. 75 ohm TTL systems are patched to 75 ohm BNC's.

DXM/64x64 and DXM/128x128 Mainframe Chassis

These Chassis provide a non-blocking, full fan-out matrix in any configuration from 16x16 to 128x128 or larger. Both systems are capable of switching high speed differential CML up to 2.5 Gbps but are most commonly used for ECL, LVDS, LVPECL, Spacewire or RS422.

Input and Output buffer modules allow any signal type to be switched to other signals types so you can convert RS422 into LVDS or any other conversion through the switch.

The systems use high density Densi-shield cables which are taken out to patch panels for whatever type of connector you may need. This allows for ease of installation and very low MTTR since the can be removed from the rack in minutes.

Buffer modules are modular and can be changed if future needs require different signal types.

Systems may be configured as dual 32x32 or dual 64x64 for Clock and Data signals.

Densi-shield cables are rated to 2 Gbps over lengths up to 10 Meters and a single .250" cable replaces 16 individual coax lines for cleaner installations.

Patch panels are available for almost any connector such as SMA, BNC, Twinax, Triax or D types.

Patch Panels are available or a variety of connectors. These 19" rack Mount 1 RU panels convert the Densi-shield connectors into whatever type of connector is needed for your system. The Most common connectors are:

D9 connectors with clock and data on each connector
